- Cancer chemotherapeutic drug Cisplatin-induced acute emesis in monkeys
- Apomorphine-induced emetic responses in monkeys
- Emetic behavior quantified (time of occurrence and number of events)
- Retching alone (a burst of rhythmic abdominal contractions without oral expulsion of upper gastrointestinal contents),
- Vomiting alone (forceful oral expulsion of upper gastrointestinal contents)
- Retching followed by a vomit.
- The animals are then returned to their home cage and their condition monitored for a further 2 h and intermittently thereafter.
- The presence of vomiting separated from the next bout by at least 1 min was considered as a single emetic episode
